15th Annual Walk to End Poverty (Friends of the Poor Walk)

Please join our 15th Annual Walk to End Poverty, (Friends of the Poor® Walk) scheduled for Saturday, September 27, 2025! 5K Run starts at 9 am. Walk starts at 10 am at our Thrift Store parking lot.
The run will start at our Thrift Store and proceeds along the Emergency Vehicle Access Road, (E.V.A.R.) known as the Airport Dike Trail.
The 1 mile Walk also starts at the Thrift store and follows the sidewalks to our Family Shelter.
We will have hotdogs, chips, cookies, and soda after our event along with tours of our facilities. Come and see the improvements to our shelter!
If you can’t run or walk with us, you can still donate on our website at https://svdpjuneau.org or use the QR code on the back of this letter. There is a registration form on the back of this letter or you can register online or at our Thrift Store or SVdP office at 8617 Teal Street.
